Despite 350 Passing Yards from Turner , Maryland Falls to BC 28-21

November 30th, 2008 · No Comments

A seemingly great year collapsed into mediocrity on Saturday as this victory could not be resurrected by a gutty showing from Chris Harper.  Two weeks ago the Terps were 7-3 and in first place in their ACC Division with thoughts of the Orange Bowl floating in their minds. Now they end the season 7-5 [...]

Freshman Goalie Mike MacMath made a spectacular save in the final minute to hold off a furious Cal Bear rally and preserve a 2-1 victory for the Terps. Maryland is only one win away from a return trip to the College Cup Final Four in Texas. That game will be played next Saturday at [...]

Tune in to Football PreGame Show at 2:40 for my Perspective on the Season

November 29th, 2008 · No Comments

It’s Salvation Day for the Terps at BC today. The Terps are 7-0 in day games, 4-0 against ranked teams, and certainly can turn this year into a very successful season with a win to move to 8-4 and share the division title. I don’t know why but I believe Terps 27 BC 17 [...]

Gonzaga 81 Terps 59—Do Not Despair!!!!!

November 29th, 2008 · No Comments

At first glance, Friday night’s game seemed like an overwhelming loss against a much bigger team.  Let me throw some stats out: Maryland was 1-13 from the 3 point range—Mosley missed 2 wide open shots, Eric Hayes 0-4 with 3 wide open misses, Greivis 1-3 all wide open. Landon missed 3 or 4 snowbird [...]

Terps Pummel #5 Spartans 80-62, Greivis Neal Each Score 17

November 28th, 2008 · No Comments

I am only surprised by the ease with which the Terrapins defeated Michigan State. This team will certainly win its fair share of games. As I have said on Terp Talk numerous times, Dave Neal has a great touch. However he has been hampered by a severe shoulder injury in the past. Sean Mosley [...]

FSU 37 Terps 3 —The Score Says it All

November 24th, 2008 · No Comments

I was so upset over this game, my blog on it is a day late.  The better team won. The Terps are 7-4, not going to the Orange Bowl and desperately need to win at BC to avoid being relegated to one of the minor bowls.  The good news is that BC is ranked [...]

Dave Neal , Adrian Bowie , and Greivis Vasquez led a late charge to keep the Terrapins undefeated (3-0) heading into a Turkey day matchup with #5 Michigan State.  With less the 7 seconds left, Greivis nailed a 3 from the corner to tie the game and send it into Overtime. In the OT, Mike Lonergan’s Catamounts collapsed [...]
