The Curse of George Sherrill—There is no Bullpen–O’s fall To 2-15

When will this nightmare end? It does seem like the bats are starting to come alive. But how can you win a game when you can’t get pitching for 9 innings. It seems absurd but one of the starters is going to have to become the stopper.  Milwood seems logical because of his propensity for throwing strikes.  Dave Trembley seems to be hiding in the dugout. Who could blame him?

if he is durable enough hernandez might make the most sense as a closer. he can throw in the upper 90’s. millwood is too valuable as a starter. when bergensen is ready he’ll be back in the rotation and arrieta is pitching extremely well at norfolk and could be up with the orioles very shortly. time to say goodbye to albers and mickolio. start using the young guys and let them gain experience in the bullpen.
