Seniors Davin Meggett, Andrew Gonnella and Kenny Tate, as well as junior Joe Vellano will serve as captains for the Maryland football team in 2011.
“I have been impressed with how these young men have conducted themselves in all of our team functions,” said head coach Randy Edsall, who made the announcement Tuesday. “These players are respected by their teammates, understand the team concept and work hard every day.
