Gist, Bambale Combine for 44 points in Final Game as Syracuse Rolls Past the Terps 88-72

As Gary said in his post game comments, the loss to Syracuse was a microcosm of the season  The Terps finished at 19-15 but in several games including last night’s they dominated early only to turn in a flat uninspiring performance down the wire. The zone thoroughly frustrated Maryland as the game wore on.  Greivis had a quiet game yet still turned in 8 points and 8 assists.  Freshman Cliff tucker and Braxton Dupree turned in strong performances off the bench.  But it’s time to move on and anticipate the effects the incoming group of recruits will have on the team. Towson Catholic’s Donte Greene scored 16 for the Orangemen but was certainly outplayed by James Gist.  James Gist and Bambale Osby ended their Terrapin careers last night and we wish them the best of luck in their endeavors to play at the next level.  Wrestler Hudson Taylor easily advanced into the quarterfinal round of the National Championships in his quest to become Champion of the 197 lb weight class.
