Women’s Lacrosse has no answer for the 3 Time (soon to be 4 time NCAA Champion) Northwestern Wildcats. The newest victim–legendary Gary Gait and the Syracuse Orange. Faster, in better condition, more aggressive and possessing Coach Kelly Hiller’s killer instinct, the Wildcats totally dominated Cuse. Interesting fact–Hiller played under the tutelage of Gary Gait at Maryland. Gait is widely considered as the one who revolutionized the Woman’s game mentoring the great Jen Adams and a host of Maryland stars including the then Kelly Amonte. Hilary Bowen scored 6 goals for the Cats and Katie Rowan was totally shut down by the NW defense. Next in line for a massacre is Penn who squeaked by the Duke Blue Devils 9-8. In Maryland Basketball news, Tyree Evans has withdrawn his name from consideration for admission to the University. Jin Soo Kim, a 6’9″ shooting forward has recently passed his SAT scores and should be eligible to play for the Terps in 2008. The roster still is not set for next season as the Terps await the June testing of Sean Mosley.
