Jeremy Guthrie shut down a great hitting Ranger team Friday night moving his record to 9-8. Kevin Millar socked 2 HRs as the O’s ravaged the Texas pitching staff before 34,000. Troy Smith gets the starting nod next Saturday night vs the Vikings at M&T. Perhaps Coach Harbaugh was effected by Kyle’s turnovers.
Freshman Kenny Tate, who was moved early in the week to strong safety more then held his own in the Oklahoma drills at Maryland’s 5th day of practice. Sarunas Jasikevicius (1994-98) is not only the only former Terp playing basketball in the Olympics this summer, but he was selected to be Lithuania’s flag bearer for the opening ceremonies. Sarunas who had tough sledding in the NBA still can dominate Euro Basketball.
