Fred Funk Wins JENN WELD Tradition Golf Tournament, Fader Repeats at Woodholme

Former Maryland Golf coach, Fred Funk cruised to a 3 stroke victory with a closing round of 69. Even with a widening lead in the final found of the JELD-WEN Tradition, former Maryland golf coach Fred Funk pretended he was trailing. “We were going down the second fairway and my caddie, Mark (Long), said ‘Let’s say you are four behind,'” Funk said. “We were trying to make it as if we were behind all day. Don’t protect anything and fire at all the flags.”

Locally at Woodholme Country Club, Michael Fader successfully defended his Championship defeating Jordan Steinfelder 1 up. Fader, about to begin his college career on Yale’s Varsity Golf team overcame a 4 hole deficit in winning his back to back crown.

Davin Meggett has secured the back up running back position on the Terrapin football tea after again having a very successful scrimmage. Coach Friedgen is espected to annoiunce his starting QB on Monday. My guess is that it will be Chris Turner.
