In her first collegiate game, Freshman Karri Ellen Johnson from Broadneck High tallied 5 goals with 5 draw controls in a 17-6 blowout win.The Jones sister tandem combined for seven points on five goals and two assists. “I think this was a good way to start the 2009 season,” head coach Cathy Reese said. “We started off a little timid but really came out and picked it up in the second half. I was happy to see that offensively we had points coming from everyone involved in our offense.”
The Terps return to action next Saturday when they play host to UMass at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex at noon.
