It’s uttering amazing the snails pace with which events happen in our great state. You don’t believe me –then please tell me why we are still suffering the effects of having the Civic Center as our major indoor arena since 1964. No hoops, no hockey, no college games, no NCAA tourney games, virtually nothing except the #1 indoor soccer team in the land. And now the bankruptcy of Magna Corporation could lead to the vanishing of the 2nd biggest race event in the world. Slots are already 5 years late. It’s time for Lone Ranger to come and save the day. There are only 2 candidates for this role Mr A and Steve Bishotti. Surely the state can sweeten the deal to entice one of these guys to step out and save an entire industry for the state. The Preakness is not eouugh of a dangling carrot. Governor O’Malley do something now!! Don’t let some city steal our Preakness, like Indy stole our Colts.
