Within a few minutes of finding out about Terrence Ross’ verbal to the Terps, I called Stu Vetter, Terrence’s coach at Montrose to tell him of my absolute joy in hearing the info. Stu commented that Ross is getting better day by day. When I saw him at a game at Montrose late in the year, I was immediately impressed by his gracefulness in playing the game. The sky is the limit for Ross. With another year under the tutelage of Vetter, his game will skyrocket. I told Stu he better add more seating at Montrose because the Terrapin faithful will flood the place every time Terrence takes the court.
From Matt Bracken’s column Saturday “Maryland did an outstanding job of recruiting him,” Vetter said. “They came on strong in the spring recruiting period. [Terps assistant] Robert Ehsan and Gary Williams did a great job of recruiting and showing him the advantages of staying close to Montrose and again, the other players we have at the University of Maryland (Greivis Vasquez and Adrian Bowie) also did a good job of convincing him that Maryland’s an outstanding place for him to come and play.” From the Post scroll down and check out the video.
