The timely hitting that marked the beginning of the season returned last night as the Orioles reeling from a miserable weekend in Toronto, used homers by Markakis and Brob to ease past the Rays. Danny Baez pitched 2 scoreless innings to pick up the Win for the Birds now 10-16. It’s hard to expect the top of the order to contribute night after night but that’s the formula for victory for the Orioles. The starting pitching has not been great but it hasn’t been disastrous either.
