Maryland women’s lacrosse midfielder Caitlyn McFadden was presented the Colonel Thomas M. Fields award last weekend, given annually by the Terrapin Club.McFadden racked up a plethora of awards in 2009, including IWLCA National Midfielder of the Year, ACC Player and Scholar-Athlete of the Year as well as being named ACC Tournament Most Valuable Player after guiding the Terps to the tournament championship.
The Colonel Thomas M. Fields award is given every year to a Maryland student-athlete who demonstrates leadership, scholarship, and athletic excellence during the past year. McFadden was honored at the Terrapin Club’s Annual Heritage Society and Life Member Reception on Dec. 12, 2009. (from umterps.com)
