No. 2 Maryland dropped its first regular season game since March 1, 2008, when it fell to No. 3 North Carolina, 13-9, Saturday. The Terps (12-1, 3-1 ACC) were led by Karri Ellen Johnson, who racked up a hat trick and added an assist on the day. Caitlyn McFadden dished out three assists and freshman Katie Schwarzmann added a pair of goals against North Carolina, who moved to 11-1 and 3-1 in ACC play. Three yellow cards were issued to the Terps today.
