Caitlyn Wins!!! (audio of Announcement) This award was never in doubt. The MVP of the National Championship Tournament, Maryland’s Caitlyn McFadden was an extremely popular choice for the winner of the most prestigious award in College Lacrosse. She is pictured with her Coach and biggest fan, Cathy Reese, her family, and the winner on the men’s side Ned Crotty from Duke. How appropiate was it that Caitlyn was dressed in red tonight!!! It was a great honor for me to be at this event tonight as I had promised Caitlyn that I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Caitlyn represents everything that is great about college sports. She was a true leader in every sense of the word. Her teammates respected her to the utmost and she led the team to the ultimate destination. Caitlyn is a true champion and has represented her family, her team and the University of Maryland to the utmost. Four years ago on Terp Talk one of my lacrosse expert guests, Bruce Block told me that Maryland had a real special kid who was joining the team. Her name was Caitlyn McFadden. I guess thats why I consider him an expert!!!!
