What a night!!! For a Maryland basketball junkie like myself it just doesn’t get any better!!! Let’s just go over a few of the hoopsters there: Johnny Rhodes, Walt Williams ( who gave a stirring recollection of how important Coach Williams was to his career), Dave Neal, Matt Kovarik, Rodney Elliott, Steve Francis, Coaches—Fran Dunphy from Temple, Tubby Smith, Jay Wright, Fang Mitchell,Jimmy Patsos, Mike Lonergan, Broadcasters—Tony Kornheiser, Micheal Wilbon, Chick Hernandez, Johnny Holiday,.Believe me this was just a start of the list. Much more tomorrow night!!! Certainly the softer side of Gary was in evidence Thursday night, as he was genuinely touched by the outpouring of love from Terrapin nation and beyond.There was a ton of video highlighting his career at Maryland.
