Some info on Delaware State:
Delaware State won its opening game of the season with a 63-56 triumph over Washington Adventist, the only game of the season thus far for the Hornets. They have had 10 days off before coming to Comcast Center to play the Terrapins. Casey Walker scored 15 points, hitting 3 of 10 from 3-point range, to lead the victory, while Marques Oliver had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. The Hornets shot 26 3-pointers in the win and had 14 steals. Delaware State was 17-12 overall and finished second in the MEAC with an 11-5 league mark last season. The Hornets return eight letterwinners, but just one starter from their 2009-10 squad. The returning starter, 5-foot-11 junior guard Jay Threatt, led all NCAA Division I players in steals at 2.8 per-game (82 total steals) last season. Threatt was also tops in the MEAC, and 38th in the nation, with a 2.32 assist-to-turnover per-game ratio during the 2009-10 campaign.
