THE TERRAPINS RIGHT THE SHIP AND DEFEAT A STUBBORN CLEMSON TEAM 79-77

It’s good to be back in the win column but I assure you it took a heackuva effort to complte the task. Afterward Gary was extremely pleased with the play of his Seniors, as Adrian, Cliff and Dino played excellent games. Some thoughts on a tough ACC battle:

Gary post game:”I thought our offense was as efficient as it’s been in a while. Clemson is a team that has been winning, and you can tell by the way they play. They have outstanding leadership in the backcourt and two good inside players. They play hard and really come after you. It’s a great win for us because it was against a team that has been coming along this year and has been playing very well. Obviously, I’m very pleased with the foul shooting down the stretch. I think we stepped up when we had to and made big free throws, and it was great to see. We had several people making free throws and we can shoot 50 percent if we run our offense that well, and that’s a big step for us to do that today. ”

Scot Van Pelt and Steve Bishotti, were in the house today.

Sean Mosley started on the bench today as he was replaced by the Hawk. But after Palsson got in early foul trouble Sean came off the bench to drop in 7 quick points. Adrian Bowie continued his improved play scoring 13. Jordan was Jordan 16 points 11 rebounds or whatever.

Terrell Stoglin chipped in with 13 point much needed after a shooting slump in the past few games.

Dino Gregory contributed a couple of key buckets down the wire and finished with 9 points.

With the Terps uo by 2 on the foul line and 1.6 seconds left , Gary had Tucker miss intentionally but in some miracle the ball bounced out of bounds with no one touching it.
