Judgment Day Countdown has begun
After the first offensive play for the Ravens–a 60 yard bomb to Torrey that resulted in a pass interence call and eventuual TD for the Ravens, the game was a yawn
The Ravens got out of the gate quickly and led 17-0 near the end of the half when Cleveland committed decided it wasn’t necessary to kick a field goal as time ran out.
For those of you who think Harbaugh’s clock management is bad the Browns took this task to new lows. Flacco baited the Browns into jumping offsides which actually put the hay in the barn as Jerry Sandusky says!
The Ravens set a new standard for going through the motions in the 3rd quarter. They actually played Cleveland back into the game. You just can’t run the ball every play. The injury to Marshall Yanda crippled the running game. His return is crucial to the Ravens.
The NFL wanted to move next week’s game to prime time but is backing away because of the fear of playing before a half empty house. Cincy responded by offering its fans a buy 1 and get one free package.
So everything is in the Ravens hands right now. Here is the projected options of what most likely could happen:
Next Week—Ravens win —New England wins–2nd seed for Baltimore —most likely will play the winner of Houston and (Oakland or Denver) after a bye. Then if we would win –play the winner of New England & Pittsburgh–New England on the road or Pitt at home
Ravens lose—at Denver or Oakland then most likely at New England then probably at Pittsburgh
Now you know why next week is Judgment day. FYI San Diego got blown out by Detroit and yes Philip Rivers was pathetic
