Observations of a grand night of Monday Night Football:
When the Ravens won the toss and elected to receive, you could feel it was a night when a statement would be made. The Ravens offense is for real. First play of the game a 52 yard Bomb to Torrey right on the money.
Joe was 21-299 for 299 yards and 2 TD passes. Enough said.
The Bengals ran the ball well butt Marvin Lewis probably regrets not going for the 1st down trailing 17-10 and the ball inside the Ravens 5 yard line
It was obvious the defensive line wore down as the game went on–this led to total domination by the Ravens.
LaQuan and Sergio Kindle were placed on the inactive list for game. In a surprise move Bobby Rainey was released from the squad but could return to the practice squad. Why play the exhibition season?
Ray Rice seemed to find a hole everytime he touched the ball
One of the biggest cheers of the night—Introduction of the Orioles from a sky suite.
Fitting Monday tribute to the late owner of the Ravens, Art Modell
The no huddle certainly negates some of the outside pass rush. Overall the offensive line did a great job protecting Joe and opening holes for Ray Rice
Ray had 10 rushes for 68 yards and 3 catches for 25. About another 20 plays used Ray as a set up for a play action pass
Michael Phelps was introduced to the crowd and he ran into the arms of Ray Lewis. Phelps gave 52 credit for motivating him back to serious training for the Olympics. From their reaction to each other, it’s obvious there is a serious bond there
Vonta Leach has become a fan favorite with sreams even when he just enters the game.
Ed Reed pulled his hamstring after running the int for a TD. He said postgame it was nothing.
Justin Tucker was a perfect 3-3 on field goals last night. I was among the few who sluted him with “Hook em Horns” upon successful kicks
Ray Lewis led the Ravens with 14 tackles
freddy from boca
Joe was 21-299 NOT A VERY GOOD PERCENTAGE
butt Marvin Lewis….. are you calling marvin an ass
phelps-lewis From their reaction to each other, it’s obvious there is a serious bond there….lovers?
what you failed to mention is the offensive line. at the last minute oher moves to left tackle and harwood to left guard. not only was this harwood’s first start in a reg season game this was the first reg season game he ever suited up for. along with rookie right tackle Kelechi Osemele playing his first reg season game ever.
