The No. 1 Maryland women’s lacrosse team (13-0) overcame a two-goal halftime deficit to defeat No. 15 Princeton (8-3), 18-10, Wednesday evening at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex.
The Terrapins scored 14 second-half goals after going down 6-4 at halftime. Megan Whittle led the team with six scores and Kelly McPartland added five goals. Kristen Lamon recorded a hat trick while Taylor Cummings and Zoe Stukenberg each had a pair of goals.
“I think tonight was the tale of two halves,” said head coach Cathy Reese. “I give Princeton a lot of credit. They came out and fought hard and really challenged us in the first half.” from umterps.com
