Is it Time For Duquette To Save This Sinking Ship? or Can Buck win with this squad?

Something has to give. I am pushing the panic button. There is just too much dead weight on this Oriole squad. How many of you out there thought the game was done when Bud Norris started the 6th inning. He is now 2-9 with a 6.98 ERA. Yesterday when Davis struck out in the first, today first and third no one out–only 1 run. 2 HRs today both solo. Snider, Parmalee, Pearce, Delmon Young (gone), David Lough have been basically ineffective. Chris Davis in right field. Is this a prelude to a trade. He might be the only bait we have.Tillman ineffective. Gausman ineffective.  The O’s have lost 8 out of 10. They are now 43-42 with the Senators coming to town.

I don’t have the answers. Duquette should. His reputation is on the line. can he make the moves to bail us out or is he preoccupied with looking for a new job. Can the O’s stand pat and hope Buck can pull a rabbit out of the hat? Is this just a slump? Can you believe,  the O’s didn’t try to persuade Manny, by and large our best player this year, not to participate in the Home Run Derby. Stay tuned the 2nd half should be interesting.

They are a streaky team who has overachieved for the last few years due to stellar records in one run games. That is bound to catch up with you at some point. They are still in the hunt for the division title and hopefully will catch fire in September and make a run to the playoffs.

They were the best team in baseball for the month of June why all of a sudden is the ship sinking? the all star break is coming at the right time and hopefully they get back on track coming out of it. Everyone needs to calm down.
