O’s once again lose lethargically to Yankees 4-3 falling to 6 games behind
Food for thought–should the O’s have traded Zach Britton to the NL and sined Andrew Miller. Miller has taken the Yankees to another level. Duquette’s fault? Who else’s?
The USA –Puerto Rico game was such a USA blowout that ESPN2 switched to the Columbia Canada Women’s Soccer game. Team USA Women’s soccer OK but Canada Columbia? The again if Melo wasn’t playing for the US who would watch the hoops.
In the 6 minutes we saw Melo, he was vastly better then Tuesday night. Did anyone feel bad for Rick Pitino, PR’s coach?

trade britton to the nl and signed britton?
why. britton had a yr of success as a closer and is much younger than miller. miller when he closed with bost wasn’t successful plus he has been injured a lot.
both are now closers and britton was been exceptional. miller has been terrific as well but you only need one closer.
i don’t know if you came up with this on your own and heard it somewhere but it ridiculous. britton is as good as it gets as a closer and gets paid a heck of a lot less than miller.

Think a little Freddy, Perhaps Britton could have brought the left fielder we needed. But at least we would not have allowed the Yankees to get Miller. Britton has been great but Miller is the best. Duquette allowed our chief opponent to create a bullpen that guarantees victory after the 6th. Look at the results. You have to think out of the box.

I agree with Freddy on this one. If the void in left field is your concern better to argue that they should have resigned Markakis and/or Cruz, with those guys in the lineup we’d be beating the Yankees before the 6th so it wouldn’t matter how good their bullpen is.
