If you listened Sunday morning to In the Nest, there was a caller who laid some of the blame on the Ravens downfall this year to Joe Flacco. It’s one time my panel agreed that it was preposterous.
I closed the issue by saying that Joe was a Man of Steel, never missing a game in his career in the NFL. Much to my dismay, Kryptonite nailed Joe today as he injured his ACL. Yet he stayed in for 3 more plays in pain, to get the Ravens the victory. For years I have been railing about the need for a backup QB, never knowing that Tyrod was probably more then adequate. Well now Matt Schaub, castoff from Houston, will fill that role. Let’s hope he can do the job.
