After being down 6-3 at halftime, the No. 1 Maryland women’s lacrosse team (11-0) rallied to defeat Johns Hopkins, 10-8, Wednesday evening at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex.
“Hopkins came out and did a good job capitalizing on their opportunities in the first half,” head coach Cathy Reese said. “I think we were able to get some better looks in the second half and make some smarter choices to get the win.”
Junior midfielder Zoe Stukenberg led the Terps with two goals and one assist while sophomores Megan Whittle and Taylor Hensh each scored twice. Senior midfielder Taylor Cummings finished with one goal and one assist and junior Caroline Wannen, sophomore Kacie Longo and freshman Jen Giles each scored once.
