Diamond Stone might get lucky and I mean real lucky if he falls to the very bottom of the NBA Draft. Pick #29 is San Antonio and where I believe he might fall to is #30 and Golden State. After the disastrous performances of Festus Ezeli and Harrison Barnes in the finals, both will be let go by the Warriors. 2 of the mocks I have looked at have Diamond Stone being taken by Popovich. Also, Mitch Kupchak (Lakers GM) made a special visit to Xfinity to catch Diamond in action. With a 7’3.5″ wingspan, Diamond Stone would defend well and help the Lakers. He could go early in the 2nd to the Lakers. That should be as far as will drop.
Robert Carter is now in most of the 2nd round selections, but that is a crapshoot because most of the teams just disregard the importance of the 2nd round and take Euros who are ineligible to play in the NBA for years. RCJ had a great combine and could be sought after for his ability to pick and pop. My guess is 50/50 he gets selected.
Except for draftexpress, Jake isn’t mentioned in any of the major mock drafts. Therefore, much to my surprise he probably will be bypassed and show up in the summer league. I really hope Jake finds his way into the bigs. He is a great kid and a super Terp.
