The Terps had a rough start for the first 10-12 minutes before settling in and absolutely dominating Northwestern.
Maryland got a nice contribution from Lizzie Colson last night. The highly touted freshman seems to be settling in to a new role primarily as a defensive middie.
Taylor Hensh had a fine offensive game and bounced back after missing two easy shots early. She got a bit more time than usual when Jen Giles left with some sort of injury early in the first half. Let’s hope it was precautionary.
Caroline Wannen was her usual productive self with 4 goals and an assist. Zoe Stukenberg, too. The senior was all over the field as usual and filled in for Kali Hartshorn who struggled mightily in the draw circle against Shelby Fredericks.
And Megan Whittle did a nice job contributing with draw controls, ground balls and assists when NW decided to face guard her. She added a pair of goals late.
