Another very frustrating loss for the Terps. Without Ceko who was injured at practice, the Terps just had no answer for Isaac Haas the brilliant 7’2″ Purdue center.
Fernando was special last night, scoring 20 points on 8-12 shooting and gathering 10 rebounds.
Darryl Morsell seems to have found his mid range jumper and shot 6-10 for 13 points.
The Terps are now 4-7 in conference so at this point they have entered a playoff mode. With 7 Big 10 games left, Maryland can ill afford to go less then 6-1 in order to finish at least .500.
What a great venue Mackey arena is, kind of like a bigger Cameron Indoor. The noise level was off the charts. when the Terps cut the lead to 55-52, the decibel level was incredible.
I had a chance to visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the day and had a chance to take a lap of the course as well as kissing the bricks at the finish line.
Maryland hopes to bounce back on Sunday against a struggling Wisconsin squad at Xfinity.
