Around The Horn on a Gloomy Sunday Night w BP

SHOCKED that the Terps failed to make the NIT. That just about wraps up a very difficult 2017–2018 Season. Apparently all of the Conference Championships upsets kept the Terps from the field.

Brutal loss to the Albany Great Danes on Saturday. Not that we lost the game,  but the Terps could not close a game leading 10-6 at the start of the 4th quarter. Next up is a very strong Villanova team on the road on Saturday. Remember the Wildcats beat Maryland last year at College Park.

DJ Moore’s stock has risen dramatically after the combine, Mel Kiper thinking he might go in the first round.

Torrey Smith was traded to the Carolina Panthers on Friday.

The Caps won their second straight on the road last night defeating San Jose 2-0.

If there was one team that really got nailed by the NCAA Tournament Committee, it was 28-5 St Mary’s. A week ago they were in the top 20. The nation will miss out on seeing one of the most explosive players in the country, Jock Landale.

TIGER is back, at least for this weekend he was. Only a missed birdie putt on on 18 kept him from a playoff with tournament winner Paul Casey. The crowd in Florida following him and rooting for him was incredible. The Masters is getting more and more interesting.

With but 8 games remaining, Tottenham has moved into 3rd place in the Premier League after a 4-1 win over AFC Bournemouth. Son scored twice as he picked up from a recent lack of scoring from Harry Kane.

Once again the Cathy Reese’s Terps (women’s lax) defeated Syracuse 18-11, at the Carrier Dome.
