Bruno Fernando Stays for Sophomore Season

With Bruno Fernando back for his sophomore year, Maryland basketball has a more balanced look. The next move is whether Kevin Huerter returns for his junior season or if he stays in the NBA draft.

For Coach Turgeon, the return of Bruno brings some seasoned depth to the middle of the floor.  You can imagine a pairing with Jalen Smith and Bruno that provides shot making and big-time defense.A starting five of Bruno, Sticks Smith, Morsell, Cowan and Huerter is possible. If not Huerter, then Wiggins.

Maryland still has the look of an ACC team, will need be ultra quick and athletic against the bulkier B1G opponents. Look for freshmen Eric Ayala, Aaron Wiggins and Jalen Smith to get serious playing time this season.
