COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland basketball head coach Mark Turgeon announced his team’s 11-game non-conference schedule today. The Terps will play nine home games during their non-conference slate, in addition to a neutral site matchup with 2018 Final Four participant Loyola Chicago at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore on December 8. In total, UMD will face five teams that advanced to the 2018 NCAA Tournament through the first two months of the season. Maryland will kick off the program’s 100th season with a home matchup vs. Delaware on November 6, followed by the squad’s lone road non-conference contest at Navy on November 9 in the 2018 Veterans Classic. Maryland will play five more home contests during the month of November including North Carolina A&T (Nov. 12), Hofstra (Nov. 16), Mount Saint Mary’s (Nov. 18), Marshall (Nov. 23) before hosting 2018 ACC Champion Virginia for the ACC-Big Ten Challenge on November 28.
After taking on Loyola Chicago in Baltimore, the Terrapins will play local foe Loyola University on December 11, before returning from an 11-day hiatus for exams to play Seton Hall (Dec. 22) and Radford (Dec. 29).
