Mark Turgeon is an outstanding coach…considering his recruiting, the fact that his players ALWAYS play hard (never quit), his players like playing for him, reflect well on the University (behavior on & off the court), they attend classes…..PLAYERS HAVE AN OUTSTANDING MENTOR IN MARK TURGEON.
It is an incredibly hard act to follow when a basketball coach comes in behind Gary Williams. It is totally not fair to constantly compare Mark Turgeon to Gary Williams.
Consider the respect Mark Turgeon garners within the coaching fraternity…..fans with unrealistic expectations need to back off and see the Big Picture…..Mark Turgeon is an excellent coach and his actions reflect well on the University of Maryland.
