Maryland to Host ESPN College GameDay Feb. 29

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – ESPN College GameDay returns to College Park on Saturday, Feb. 29, when the traveling live pregame college basketball show, hosted by Rece Davis with analysts Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg and LaPhonso Ellis, airs from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. ET on ESPN.
“We are thrilled to have been selected to host ESPN College GameDay next week,” said head coach Mark Turgeon. “It will be an incredible day for our program, fans and community. We can’t wait to show Rece, Jay, Seth, LaPhonso and the rest of the crew what College Park is all about!”

The XFINITY Center doors will
open at 9:30 a.m. for the event. Admission is free and open to both students
and the general public. Parking is free in select lots surrounding the XFINITY Center. Please obey all posted
parking signage. Maryland’s clear bag policy will be enforced.

Maryland last hosted ESPN College GameDay during the program’s first season in 2005, when the Terrapins defeated Duke 99-92 on February 12.
No. 7 Maryland hosts Michigan State for an 8 p.m. tip at XFINITY Center later that night on ESPN. The game is sold out.
This will be Maryland’s fourth time as a part of College GameDay, following an appearance at Michigan State in 2016 and prior to a thrilling 67-60 victory over Michigan State this season back when the Spartans hosted on February 15.
