Terrapin Times reported earlier today that there would be big news at 11am. The news is that Maryland was Subpoenaed in the ongoing FBI College Basketball Case. The statement from the University reads: “On March 15, 2018 and June 29, 2018, the University received grand jury subpoenas for documents related to the ongoing federal investigation of college basketball. It has been rumored for a while that the Wizards were looking to trade center Marcin Gortat, well, it finally happened. As first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Wizards will send the Polish Hammer to the LA Clippers in exchange for combo guard Austin Rivers.
This certainly raises more questions than it answers for the Wizards, but looks like a decent trade for the Wizards, we will have more reaction in the coming days.
