“Flying to Hartford for studio work at ESPN on Saturday, BWI was jammed. Got a good seat with my Southwest status, A-16, aka first class on a subway, but the flight didn’t have WIFI. That’s unbelievable. Fortunately, I’ve got Maryland’s notes and peruse through the archival portion. Paging through memories. Goalie Jimmy Beardmore went 12-1 in 1987 with a .698 save percentage and scooped up 72 groundballs. Beardy was one of a kind, a complete showstopper.  I didn’t realize that … Read More »

Duke 19   Johns Hopkins  6   Really?  At Homewood?  Score tells it all.

Albany 15  Carolina 12–The 2016 Champions are going home. Albany in the 1st half looked like the best team in the land but PRESSURE got to them in the 2nd half.  The Great Danes held on valiantly to the win.

Denver 17 Air Force 10–Trevor Baptiste dominated at the X as always–never a game

Towson 12 Penn State 8–Towson was much the better team today. Not a great … Read More »

Thank heavens the Maryland Lacrosse teams didn’t play Wednesday night.

First, I really can’t say the Caps fell apart. They peppered Marc-Allen Fleury continuously but could not dent the nets. What will the future of this team be? Top line right wing T.J. Oshie — who tied Ovechkin for the team lead in goals this season — and another couple of forwards, Justin Williams and Daniel Winnik, along with defensemen Alzner and Kevin Shattenkirk are unrestricted free agents. Evgeny Kuznetsov, … Read More »

The Caps outplayed the Penquins in every facet of the game winning a 5-2 decision in Game 6 and advancing to game 7. Look for the Caps to win.

I got to the O’s game in the 3rd inning and joyously watched the next 6 1/2 innings roll by quickly as the O’ won 4-0 and swept the White Sox.

Chris Tillman pitched 5 scoreless innings to get the win and Asher and Brach combined for 4 shutout innings.

Matchups for Nats O’s–A SPLIT WOULD BE INCREDIBLE

“Look forward not backward” a very apropos statement from Quint K referring to the Terps. Just for the record:

Q has the Terps in the Final Four

Carcaterra to no one’s surprise goes against the Terps and picks Albany in the Final Four as well as Cuse—Shocker.

Anish has the Tar Heels coming out of the Terps bracket.
