After being down 6-3 at halftime, the No. 1 Maryland women’s lacrosse team (11-0) rallied to defeat Johns Hopkins, 10-8, Wednesday evening at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex.
“Hopkins came out and did a good job capitalizing on their opportunities in the first half,” head coach Cathy Reese said. “I think we were able to get some better looks in the second half and make some smarter choices to get the win.”

The Maryland men’s lacrosse team exploded for 10 first half goals and its defense clamped down in the second half as the Terps earned a decisive 13-8 victory at Franklin Field Tuesday evening.

What Happened: Maryland blitzed Princeton 17-5
Takeaway: Let’s face it: Maryland has become a team that everyone loves to hate. Primarily, lacrosse fans feel the Terps play too slow and conservative for the amount of talent they have on the offensive end. This wasn’t the case this past Saturday against Princeton. 5. Towson — A two-win week is nothing to shrug at. The Tigers won at Loyola on Wednesday and took care of UMBC on Saturday by jumping out to a 9-0-halftime lead. Towson is athletic at the midfield, rangy and cohesive on defense and has confident finishers on attack.
