Make no bones about it–this one really hurts. After a miraculous game and victory over Johns Hopkins on Saturday, I never saw this kind of a game coming. It was almost a carbon copy of the NCAA Championship loss to Loyola. Wayne spends a few minutes talking with Brian Cole after Maryland’s 12-11 win over Johns Hopkins in the Final Four:
It was the rematch many Maryland fans wanted. A win on Saturday by the Terps over the Blue Jays would probably mean more than winning the first Trophy game. The prize to the victor would be a trip to the NCAA Championship game and a chance to face the Denver Pioneers who upset the top seeded Notre Dame Fighting Irish 11-10 in overtime in the first semifinal. The second game was nearly as thrilling with the Terps holding on for … Read More »
Five seems to be a magic number for Maryland lacrosse in 2015 – at least when it comes to finding All-Americans on a Terrapins’ roster. Five women’s players were recently named ICLWA All-Americans and five men’s players joined them when the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced it men’s All-American teams Thursday afternoon.
Two Terps, who both play on the defensive side of the field, are among the 15 players to earn first team USILA honors. Two other Terrapins … Read More »
