What was it?

Home field advantage for the Hoos–maybe

Lack of small ball execution from Maryland–no way

Absolutely great win for 3 seed Maryland as they held on in the bottom of the 9th inning to defeat UCLA 2-1. Taylor Bloom was brilliant Monday, going 6 innings and allowing 1 hit and 1 run. Kevin Mooney came on to pitch the final 3 innings and preserve the victory.

Next up for Maryland is UVA in the Super Regional. The winner goes to Omaha for the College World Series. Tonight’s game ended at 2AM EST.
