The 2017 Men’s Lacrosse National Champion Maryland Terrapins receive four honors Thursday night in Annapolis. The first two came before the MLL game between the Chesapeake Bayhawks and the Florida Launch. First, The Touchdown Club of Annapolis honored them as the collegiate team of the year. Then members of the 2017 squad had the chance to share Maryland’s “Be the Best” rallying cry with members of the Terrapins’ 1975 championship squad.
The third honor came at halftime … Read More »
Ubaldo was just throwing Batting Practice on Sunday–11 hits 6 runs in 3 2/3 innings. I think Buck wanted to leave him in to finish the 4th so the Boo Birds would not explode but nercifully for the fans Buck yanked him out. It was just sad. Not funny. Ubaldo’s era is now over 7. 1-5 Chris Tillman goes against Texas tonight.Zach Britton has been relegated to the mop up committee. Looking hopeless as O’s fall to a last place … Read More »
Melo bounces back with fine 13 point performance in Vegas Summer League. Given an opportunity (finally), Melo mad the most of it nailing 3 treys and playing better defense. Jake Layman fell off the last games, last night going 1-9 from the field.
Diamond Stone will come out of the summer league ready to make the Hawks roster and contribute from jump street.

Miley and Ubaldo and pray for rain–NOT!!!!! So it’s great that the O’s won bjut once again a 5-0 dissipated in the 3rd inning as Ubaldo had a HBP and 3 walks. But 3 Hrs–including 2 from Adam Jones) and 3 rbi from Caleb put this one out of reach from even the O’s bullpen. Zach Britton –easy 1-2-3 bottom of the 9th.

The visiting Rochester Rattlers owned the opening 9:41 of the first quarter of Sunday’s Major League Lacrosse game against the host Chesapeake Bayhawks in Annapolis as the visitors slithered to a quick 5-0 lead and it looked as though Chesapeake was poised to lose to Rochester for the eighth consecutive time. However, Lyle Thompson’s goal with 5:01 to play in the quarter took all the venom out of the Rattlers’ bite. Thompson’s goal sparked a seven goal Bayhawks run as … Read More »

The Wizards, at least for now, have fixed their backup point guard problem. The team announced yesterday that the Wizards have dealt their 2nd round pick in exchange for New Orleans Pelicans backup point guard Tim Frazier. This seems like a good value for the Wizards, 2nd round draft picks often take a few years to contribute, that is if they contribute at all. Additionally, the Wizards already have several long-term projects on the roster (Daniel … Read More »
