My observations:

Good bounce back win for the Terps. Just a great overall floor game for Anthony Cowan.

Morsell continues his excellent play at home.

Ceko’s game was on tonight as well as Tomaic’s.

Dion was back tonight but as Turgeon afterwards “never found his rhythm”

Crowd for the late game was 13,736

The 2017 NCAA Lacroose Champions were honored during the 1st half. The season starts Sat May 10 vs Navy at 12PM in College Park

Maryland football’s Walt Bell, the offensive coordinator, has left the Terps for a similar position at Florida State.  More to come on this story.

Maryland Football

For the third time this season, the Maryland women’s basketball team will have to discover their identity as a team and they took the first step scratching out a 74-70 win over the scrappy Indiana Hoosiers in College Park Tuesday night. Preseason practice typically lays the foundation of a team’s chemistry but it’s the heat of competition that truly forges a team’s identity. The team Maryland would become began to emerge in the Terrapins first 12 games.

Yes this was a very tough loss but there was so much to be gained from the performance tonight. Turgeon had this team so prepared. With the existing injury problems, there is no way a better performance could have been tuned in.

In the past 2 road losses the team seemed to run out of gas after great starts. Not tonight. Turge took the air out of the ball and continually used up most of the shot clock throughout the … Read More »

Bruce Posner, Maryland Basketball

Great day for basketball at the Capital One Arena. The 2 PM game was a near sellout and the Greek Freak, Giannis Antetokounmpo

was in town.

Gia did not disappoint—27 points and 20 rebounds and he must have altered 5 shots. He is simply phenomenal.

Wall and Beal seemed out sorts firing up 39 shots while the rest of the team took only 37.

Kelly Oubre had a super game, keeping the Wiz in the game with great outside … Read More »
