Alabama defeats Georgia 26-23 in OT behind Freshman QB—More exciting then any NFL Playoff Game. It’s amazing to me that a 19 year old Freshman QB can hit a deep receiver in stride for a winning TD pass. “In stride” No explanation needed. Iowa Coach Fran MacCaffrey expressed regret over being tossed from the game against Maryland last night.

Five former Maryland men’s lacrosse players have been selected to the United States Men’s Lacrosse National Team in advance of the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) Men’s World Championship July 12-21 in Netanya, Israel.

Using balanced scoring, the No. 13 Maryland women’s basketball team (15-2, 4-0 Big Ten) breezed past Wisconsin (7-10, 0-4), 71-44, Sunday afternoon for the Terrapins’ 13th straight win.
Junior Eleanna Christinaki led the game with 14 points while senior Ieshia Small added 13. Senior Kristen Confroy (12) and sophomore Kaila Charles (10) also finished in double-digit scoring.

Once again Cowan was outstanding. 15 points –7 assists–0 Turnovers –tremendous defense on Jordan Bohannon—37 minutes
Bruno Fernando was back to his dominating selfwith a high of 21 points
Morsell only took a few outside shots and finished with 14 points on 6-12 shooting
Wiley was 4-5 inc 2 threes in only 15 minutes of action. He was poked in the eye early in the 2nd half. Hopefully he will not miss a game.
