Yes it’s going to be pretty tough watching Caitlyn, 2010 POY, on the field against Maryland tomorrow, Katie Schwartzmann will also play for team USA. The game can be seen live on ESPN3 at 11AM, and later in the day at 10PM it will be on ESPNU.

The 54th annual Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll, recognizing academic excellence by student-athletes during the 2009-10 academic year, was announced Friday by Commissioner John Swofford. The Honor Roll is comprised of student-athletes who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a grade point average of 3.00 or better for the full academic year. Maryland landed two current and two former players on the 2010-11 U.S. senior women’s national lacrosse team, announced Monday morning.  Current Terps Brittany Poist and Katie Schwarzmann join Caitlyn McFadden and Acacia Walker on this year’s squad. McFadden and Walker earned gold medals as members of the 2009 national team in Prague. The 36 players selected by the coaching staff will train for the 2013 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Cup.

The women held serve in College Park, advancing as expected in a 15-10 win over UPenn.  The Terps and Quakers played earlier this season and Maryland came out on top 12-6.  The Quakers managed to keep the score deficit within 2-3 goals for most of the game on Saturday but Maryland pulled away late.
